Military Rescues Six Zamfara University Students Abducted by Gunmen

In a recent incident, gunmen targeted Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State, abducting 24 students from three of the school’s hostels.

Prompt action by the military led to the rescue of six of the abducted students. The troops engaged the attackers in a fierce gun battle, causing them to flee with the remaining victims.

The military, led by Brigadier General Sani Ahmed, is actively working with other security agencies to free the remaining students held in the forest.

During the operation, several bandits were neutralized, and weapons were successfully recovered.
