Tension Mounts as Students and Parents Await NECO SSCE Results 2023
Many students and parents are feeling anxious as the June/July 2023 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results have not been released yet.
This exam, conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO), holds great importance for students seeking admission to higher education.
A significant number of SS3 students also took the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as “awaiting results candidates,” relying on the SSCE results to determine their admission status.
The worry amplifies for those who participated in the May/June 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) but fell short of the five credits required for admission to universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
It’s anticipated that NECO will announce the results later this week, easing the tension for the over 1,205,888 candidates who registered for the 2023 SSCE.
Parents like Mr. Oyetoro Falade are particularly on edge, relying on the NECO result to secure their children’s admission.
The delay has led to growing concerns among both parents and students, impacting their prospects of timely admissions into higher institutions.
However, NECO assures all candidates and stakeholders that the results will be officially released soon.
