Three Feared Dead, District Head, 50 Others Kidnapped in Zamfara

Three Feared Dead, District Head, 50 Others Kidnapped in Zamfara.

At least three people lost their lives, while over 51 individuals, including a district head, were abducted by bandits in various parts of Zamfara State.

DAILY POST gathered that this tragic incident took place on Tuesday when armed men attacked Bagega, a mining village in the state, firing indiscriminately and resulting in the deaths of the three villagers.

Efforts by DAILY POST to contact the police command were unsuccessful, as the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yazid Abubakar, did not answer calls at the time of filing this report.

However, the Village Head, Malam Abubakar Uba, confirmed the incident to Reuters. He stated that the gunmen kidnapped the district head first and then proceeded to abduct dozens of others in the village.

“They stormed the village on dozens of motorcycles, and their first stop was the District’s Head residence.

A few of them took him away with three members of his household before they entered the town and unleashed more harm,” Uba mentioned.
