Zamfara State Government Adopts 6 Year Old Boy
The Zamfara State government, through its Ministry of Women Affairs, Children and Social Development, has pledged to support the education and overall well-being of a six-year-old boy.
The boy, whose emotional video went viral on social media, expressed his sadness over the loss of his father and his desire for revenge.
In a statement from the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Isah, it was shared that Commissioner Dr. Nafisa Maraduna of Women Affairs, Children and Social Development made the commitment when meeting the child and his mother in her office.
The commissioner explained that the directive came from the state governor’s wife, Hajiya Huriya Lawal, to assist the boy and his mother, providing necessary support for a better life and counseling to help the child cope with the loss and ensure a positive future.
“We will arrange professional counseling to help the boy cope with his emotions and guide him towards a positive future,” stated the Commissioner.
Additionally, the mother of the child received financial assistance to start a business, alleviating some of her challenges.
Both the boy and his mother expressed gratitude for the compassionate support extended by the governor’s wife, emphasizing their commitment to counseling to help the child heal and grow.
